My Key Learnings of 2024: A Reflection
Always return to the WHY
The world is so much bigger and greater than me so losing track of my ‘why’ can lead me to feeling helpless and one small fish in a massive ocean. When I return to the ‘why’ I can narrow in on how I CAN be impactful rather than focusing on the impossible. I choose this envedor for my past self, my family, my community, and those who cannot yet help themselves. READ MORE.
Perseverance
It is not always easy, but it is necessary, and the confidence you create from perseverance is remarkable. I embraced productivity when I lacked it the most and carried it with me past the dedicated month by embracing change, intentionality and gratitude - I saw the stars align and got out of a rut.
Simplicity
While I love all of the fun “extras” in life, taking a step back and focusing on the “needs” rather than allowing the “wants” to take over helped me hone in on what was truly important. Read more here. Romanticize everything to make the “little things” feel extraordinary and remember the beauty in and the reason FOR everything.
Working late - turn lamps on, make a cup of tea, turn on a movie or vibey music in the background
Early morning teaching - cute workout set, journal, vibey lighting, good coffee, inspirational podcast
Sweat pants outfits - while working from home it’s easy to mismatch and stay in PJs all day. Be intentional about showing up to work (even at home) and put an outfit together even if it is sweatpants and a sweatshirt - make it match and feel good in it.
ALIGNMENT
What the year boiled down to was considering these questions - primarily - am I living each day in alignment with who I want to be and what I want my future to look like?
Does my morning mindset and routine support the mindset I want to live in and maximize my energy?
If it’s not a hell yes, it should be a hell no - trust your gut
If scrolling TikTok and Pinterest inspires me, how can I not get stuck in a scrolling loop?
Each community/business/volunteer engagement - does it align with my future self goals?
Am I listening to content (podcasts, TV, books) that supports knowledge that I need to grow in my desired area of expertise? Am I taking quality breaks to consume “fun” content in “most serving to me” timeframes?

This year was one of the longest, busiest years yet, and I am excited by the developments and growth it brought, but I am even more excited to reflect, put it in the past, and carry on. Remember to accept it (whatever it may be), then let it go.
Enjoy these next weeks with your family and friends - embrace the most meaningful relationships in your life, especially the one you have with yourself.
With love, light, and joy ~
